Feeling adventurous? Take a ride in a hot air balloon! Those who have witnessed a sunrise in the Alps while ballooning will never forget this fascinating spectacle. Depending on the wind, launches take place in Zell am See or Filzmoos. From an altitude of over 3,000 meters, you can admire the mountain scenery from a completely new perspective right from the wicker basket.

Just 10 minutes by car or bus, or half an hour by bike, lies Lake Zell (Zeller See). With three beach resorts, additional free bathing areas, and an average water temperature of 23 degrees Celsius in summer, it's the undisputed favorite spot for relaxed days by the water.
Whether swimming, stand-up paddling, pedal boating, sailing, surfing, or taking a boat trip on one of the excursion boats, the lake and the beautiful surroundings can be explored in various ways.

Running & trail running
How about a lap around Lake Zell, tackling the Schmitten Trailrun along the high promenade between Schmittenhöhe and Pinzgauerhütte, or a run around Kapruner Moor? Running routes abound in the area, catering to both leisurely runners and ambitious athletes alike.
The enchanting backdrop quickly makes you forget any exertion, offering impressive views of the surrounding mountain world.
The ultimate challenge for all trail runners is undoubtedly the Großglockner Ultra-Trail held every July. Here, a total of 110 kilometers and 6,500 meters of elevation gain are covered. Even just as a spectator, it's an absolute highlight!

Have you ever tasted authentic Pinzgauer Kasnocken, a fluffy Kaiserschmarren, or sweet Moosbeernocken? In the region, there's such a wide selection of rustic Alpine huts and cozy rest stops that you can discover a new favorite spot on every hike.
